SUV fires are way up. As pump prices soar some people use the direct method to get rid of the gas guzzler they foolishly bought. The state of the economy also figures into car fires; when the economy goes down, car fires go up. Makes sense, I wonder if the economy could be gauged by monitoring car fires from space? It would make for some interesting news on TV, the evening car fire report. And of course these SUV fires are bitterly ironic since Bush’s war was supposed to make the price of gas go down, not up. Is this the light at the end of the tunnel in Iraq?
