Iranian Shaped Charges…Stupidest Propaganda in History?

Here’s the proof…

Let me see if I understand this correctly. Before we conquered Iraq the Bush administration repeatedly claimed that Iraq was secretly building weapons of mass destruction like nuclear and biological weapons, weapons so sophisticated that only a handful of nations have mastered them. And now, the very same administration is claiming with a straight face that Iraqis need technological help from Iran to build shaped charges…a type of weapon that was in use as early as 1919. A type of weapon so unsophisticated and common knowledge that instructions to build them are widely available on the fucking Internet. The above plan came from Wikipedia for God’s sake.

I don’t know what bothers me most about this, that the Bush administration thinks the American public is so goddamn stupid that they’ll fall for this claptrap…or that millions of Americans are so stupid that they actually believe it. I mean wake up people, this is like Custer claiming that the Indians must have had help making their bows and arrows. This propaganda is so transparent and stupid that it’s an embarrassment that these people are running the country.

The Americans who are dying in Iraq, not to mention the tens of thousands of Iraqi innocents, were killed by George Bush. He is the one who ordered the invasion of a country with a third the troops required to do the job. He is the one who actually believed that a fractured foreign violent land would roll over and kiss our asses for the privilege of being run by a puppet government of criminal exiles. He is the one who has stood by and done nothing while the situation in Iraq has deteriorated for years. He and his buddies in the armaments and oil industry are the ones who have raked in hundreds of billions in profits from this war. He and his administration are the ones responsible for the carnage in Iraq.

And George Bush is the one who must be stopped before he makes the situation ten times worse by attacking Iran. We impeached Clinton for one semen stained dress, how many dead Americans laying in bloody chunks on the streets of Baghdad does it take? Wake up America, cause if we let this microcephalic would-be Caesar expand his war to Iran…well, if you think Bush’s war has been ugly so far…you ain’t seen nothing yet.

And yes, I’m losing my desire to be diplomatic when discussing the Bush regime. Osama Bin Laden is starting to look like a pacifist compared to this blood drenched cabal of madmen.

(The above image is claimed as Fair Use under US copyright law. It is not being used for profit, it is central to illustrating the post, and it proves that the Bush Administration is lying through their teeth in order to expand their insane war.)

  3. Americans really are all about being one way or the other it seems. You’re either massively patriotic or so anti your foreign policies that everything turns into a conspiracy against the masses of brain numb USA patrons. I wouldn’t say you never acted diplomatic, but…

  4. Yes, the honest conservatives were betrayed by a bunch of criminals who used the rhetoric of God and liberty to make you believe that they were honorable.

    They were not.

  5. Doug, I agree, this time around the propaganda re Iran is really straining credibility and it is heartening to see the greater skepticism. I share the disbelief with this small section of the administration who have hijacked American foreign policy and spurned the advice of leveler heads. The Office of Special Projects warrants particular mention.

jc, why not? Does Iran have any less of a right to nuclear technology (and it is a member of the NPT) than Israel (not a signatory, and who has invaded its neighbors)? The ME needs its “ass kicked” (my, what sophisticated analysis) about as much as you need a hole in the head. How bemusing to see arrogance and ignorance combine. You may wish to read up a little, and acquire some humility and understanding.

  6. LOL The only people who have been “kicking ass” in the Middle East for the last five decades have been Israel and the USA. The USA has gone from being adored throughout the region in the 50s to being almost universally feared and hated. More kicking ass is going to help? I don’t think so. I wonder who Bushco is going to blame when the attack on Iran backfires? God help us all, sigh. JMO —Doug

  7. jc,
“The Middle East needs its ass kicked.” That is the most ridiculous thing I have read in a long time. That kind of thinking is what got the USA into Iraq. Taking out Saddam was one of the most immoral acts in history. It is America’s fault that there is sectarian war in Iraq now not Iran’s. Do you really think that Iran would want to help Shia’s kill Sunni’s in Iraq? I don’t think they really give a shit about Iraq or what goes on there. This is pure propaganda put by Bush because he wants to invade Iran. Iran deserves nukes because they live in a dangerous neigborhood. Pakistan and India already have nukes… and so does Israel. The USA is right next door in Iraq, wouldn’t you feel a little bit nervous if you were them? The USA should normalize their relationship with Iran and maybe learn a thing or two from them. Their society is much more rational and moral than ours.
